Classrooms: Multi-age by 3-6, 6-9, 9-12, allowing each child to work individually at his or her own pace.
Children’s House ( 3 to 6) Curriculum: Mathematics, Language, Every Day Living, Sensorial, Cultural, Music, Art, Spanish and Body Movement.
Elementary Curriculum: Anthropology, Art, Biology, Botany, Chemistry,
Computer, Earth Science, Ecology, Geography, Geology, Geometry,
History, Language, Mathematics, Physics, Sociology, Spanish and
Zoology. In addition to academic challenges, our goals include learning practical skills such as leadership, time management, public speaking, and the importance of a personal contribution to our global community.
School Head: Terri Modic, M. Ed. has been a Montessori educator for
over 30 years. Terri founded Montessori Children’s Community, and has
served as School Head since 1991. She has teacher certification at the
3-6 and Lower Elementary levels as well as School Head certification from
the American Montessori Society.
