The Montessori philosophy and methodology is not just another educational theory. It is a scientific method of education. Dr. Maria Montessori was the first female physician in Italy, as well as the first advocate of early childhood education. Through her education, experiences and observations with children and knowledge of medicine she carefully created a method of education that today continues to grow in popularity and continues to be validated by new research on the developing brain.
